Doctoral Programme in Planetary Health | New Optional Curricular Units - One Health and Risk Analysis in One Health

| The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Lisbon (FMV-ULisboa) has approved, through its Scientific Council, the opening of two new Optional Curricular Units (UCO) for the Planetary Health Studies doctoral programme at the University of Lisbon and for the doctoral programme in Veterinary Sciences at FMV-ULisboa. This training offer is open to all doctoral students enrolled in all ULisboa doctoral programmes, with exemption from fees. These two UCOs are entitled One Health and Risk Analysis in One Health, with 3 ECTS each. In the 2025-26 academic year, these UCOs will operate as follows: - One Health: 26-30 January; - Risk Analysis in One Health: 2-6 February; - Timetable: Monday and Tuesday mornings and afternoons; Wednesday and Thursday afternoons only; Friday mornings only; - The UCOs will be taught in English; - Classes are face-to-face at FMV-ULisboa; - The UCOs, with continuous assessment, award a certificate of approval; - The maximum number of students per UCO is 20; - In the event of excess enrolments, selection will be made by a committee that includes the lecturers involved and the FMV-ULisboa representative on the Scientific Committee of the Planetary Health Studies doctoral programme at the University of Lisbon; - Registration is open from 21 to 31 October 2025 (1st phase); if there are still places available, a 2nd phase will be opened until a date to be announced.
