WELFARUMINANT CONFERENCES

Next 27 January, will be held a day of conferences about evaluating and certifying the welfare of ruminants on farms and during transport. This scientific meeting is organised as part of the Welfaruminant project in which the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine - ULisboa participates as a partner (together with the University of Milan and the University of Burdur) and which ends in February 2024.
During the course of the project, 3 workshops were organised, 5 good practice manuals were published (for dairy cows, fattening cattle, goats, sheep and calves) and a series of videos were produced illustrating good welfare practices in production facilities.
